Wemo Mini Smart Plug
Cloud support endedDocumentation reviewed . Older model; not a current buying recommendation.
Current guidance
Belkin ended cloud support for these older Wemo models on January 31, 2026. New setup, cloud remote control, and Alexa/Google integrations are affected. Belkin says previously configured HomeKit connections can continue; that exception depends on the actual device and existing configuration. Do not factory-reset an existing working setup without reading the notice. This does not mean newer Wemo Thread devices have the same shutdown. These older models are retained as owner references and are not current purchase recommendations.

If you’re looking for a reliable plug that works with Apple HomeKit, look no further. This slim little baby is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, plus Apple HomeKit right out of the box.
Although Belkin’s Wemo Mini is rectangular in shape, its power button is located on the front. But no worries, it’s not cluttered. It has its own space nuzzled in the mid-right portion of the panel.
Sporting a minimalistic design, the Wemo is a nice choice if you’re a novice smart plug user. Setup is super fast, plus it’s easy to control your appliances from anywhere using the app.
It works with Android and iPhones, and wields 2.4 GHz while running on your wifi network. So yes, you can control bigger appliances like your AC unit or heater. And no, there’s no hub needed.
All-in-all you get a lot of flexibility for a good price. You can pick one up for around $30. It’s one of our favorites, as far as simplicity and reliability.
