If you’re determined to turn your casa into a full-blown smart home, this plug is a solid choice. It comes in a 4-pack, which gives you plenty of plugs to work with. Plus the price is nice. You end up paying less than $10 per smart plug —that’s very economical.
This smart outlet uses wifi, and works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. You can also control it using an app that works on iPhones and Androids.
Another plus is the size and shape of the plugs. They’re small and circular, which means you can fit more than one into an outlet. They also fit very nicely on a surge protector.
The Teckin Smart Outlet does not have built-in energy monitoring. So you’ll have to be okay with that. If you’re looking for a plug that boasts added features, there may be better options out there. But if you’re primary objectives are economy and reliability, then look no further.
