These pages refer to Nest Thermostat E and third-generation Nest Learning Thermostat respectively. Google’s October 2025 app-support cutoff applies to first- and second-generation Learning Thermostats, not automatically to these models. Works with Nest still ended in September 2023. HVAC compatibility, wiring and supported integrations need an exact-model check; newer Nest models’ Matter features cannot be assumed here.

The Nest Thermostat learns your preferences over time to help you save money and energy. It works with Alexa and Google Assistant for voice control. It can be controlled via the Nest app so that you can manually raise or lower the temperature or set it to away mode.
