Arlo lists Pro 2 (VMC4030P) and the original Audio Doorbell (AAD1001) as reaching end of life on January 1, 2025. Its stated extra year of critical security updates has elapsed. End of life does not necessarily stop every existing live-view or local-storage function; regional exceptions and existing plans matter. Do not treat the original audio doorbell as a modern video doorbell. Choose a model with an explicit remaining security-support period for a new installation.

The Arlo Pro 2 is perfect for keeping track of your outdoor spaces. For it’s price you’ll get 2 wireless battery powered cameras that are weather-proof plus the Arlo hub. The 1080p footage from these cameras is excellent in low or high light situations. Additionally the cameras have IR lights for night vision.
Probably the best feature of the Arlo series is the ability to mount them anywhere. Their built in battery last a couple of months and can be recharged with included charger.
